3. Amazon’s AI recruiting tool is sex-biased
In 2014 and 2017, the HR of the Amazon employed the AI based recruiting software to review the employee’s resumes and to make the recommendations. The software, however, gave more priority to the male employees since it became the part of Amazon over the past decade when the males were in majority as a candidate.
The software started to degrade the resumes that have a word “women” in them. Therefore, Amazon terminated this software as it was gender influenced.
4. Google photo has a problem recognizing skier and mountain
The Google Photo is made to merge the photos to the same panoramic effect that have identical backgrounds in them.
Last year, one of the users of Reddit posted three photos among which one of them was of his friend while two were the landscapes. But Google Photo merged them and came out with a weird effect in which his friend’s head was photo’d as a peak peering out from the trees. It turned out to be so funny that it hit 202k likes. It means Google Photo Algorithm mocked themselves.
5. On unveiling, LG robot Cloi gets stage fright
It was on January 8, 2018, when LG debuted their AI assisted Cloi robot in Las Vegas. The robot was accompanied with an interface that made it recognize the voice commands. However, the robot got nervous made an awkward silence it was taken to the stage in front of the audience.
